- The U.S. Navy says it sank three Houthi boats after they attacked a container ship off the coast of Yemen. The Houthis have been carrying out a spate of attacks on ships, which they say are revenge against Israel for its military campaign in Gaza.
- Israel’s war against Hamas is at its “highest level and will continue for months,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Saturday. Israeli troops are expanding operations in southern and central Gaza, where the UN says civilians have "nowhere to go."
- Battles are also underway in the north, where the Israel Defense Forces said it destroyed a hideout belonging to Yahya Sinwar, Hamas' leader in Gaza.
- The UN expressed alarm after more than 100,000 displaced people have recently arrived in Rafah, the most densely populated part of Gaza. Residents describe sky-high food prices and children going hungry.
