Ken Kesey, Albert Hoffman, Jesus, and Terence McKenna meet at the Eleusinian Mysteries.
They walk into the ancient Greek temple, where they are greeted by a priestess who offers them a cup of kykeon, the sacred psychedelic drink. They accept the invitation and drink the brew.
Kesey is a famous author and counterculture figure, who experimented with LSD and other drugs in the 1960s. He wrote One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, a novel about a rebellious patient in a mental hospital. He also led a group of merry pranksters who traveled across America in a psychedelic bus, spreading the message of free love and acid.
Hoffman is a Swiss chemist and the discoverer of LSD, the most powerful hallucinogen known to mankind. He accidentally ingested some of the substance in 1943 and had the first acid trip in history. He later became interested in the spiritual and therapeutic potential of LSD, and advocated for its responsible use.
Jesus is the son of God and the founder of Christianity, one of the world's major religions. He performed many miracles and taught people to love one another. He was crucified by the Romans but rose from the dead on the third day. He ascended to heaven but promised to return someday.
McKenna is a writer and philosopher, who explored the realms of shamanism, psychedelics, and mysticism. He wrote books such as The Archaic Revival and Food of the Gods, where he proposed theories about the origin of human consciousness, language, and culture. He also coined the term "Timewave Zero," a mathematical model that predicted a singularity of novelty in 2012.
The four men wait for the effects of the kykeon to kick in. They start to feel a warm sensation in their bodies, and a tingling in their brains. They look around and see that everything is more colorful and vivid. They hear music and voices that are not there. They feel a connection with each other and with the cosmos.
They begin to talk about their lives, their visions, their hopes and fears. They find out that they have a lot in common, despite their different backgrounds and times. They all seek to understand the mysteries of existence and to share their insights with others. They all face opposition and persecution from those who fear their ideas. They all have followers who admire them but also misunderstand them.
They laugh at their similarities and differences and marvel at their synchronicities. They realize that they are part of a larger story, a cosmic joke that transcends space and time. They feel a sense of joy and wonder, but also a hint of sadness and nostalgia. They know that this moment will not last forever and that they will have to return to their own realities soon.
They decide to make the most of their time together and to enjoy the ride. They toast to each other, to life, to death, to God, to kykeon, to LSD, to mushrooms, to peyote, to ayahuasca, to DMT, to everything.
They say: "Cheers!" "Prost!" "Amen!" "Hallelujah!" And then they drink some more.
